Creatine Supplement
I chose to make the post this week about the side effects of Creatine Supplementation. You might be surprised at what you read. Follow the red hyperlinks to learn more about creatine, or to try it out for yourself.
So what of side effects?
The main reason for all the talk on the side effects of the Creatine supplement are that it is so powerful people have this pre existing belief that there must be something innately side effect causing about it. The fact is that this is simply not true. You may have even heard of cramping during Creatine cycles. Even this has been now tested thoroughly and proven to be inconclusive. Cramping results from a lack of water that can occur if insufficient amounts of water are consumed with the Creatine supplement but this effect is due to the Creatine taking habits of the individual rather than the effect of the product itself.
Is it Worth the price, time and effort?
In all honesty the hype over Creatine supplement has caused some overexaggerated outlooks towards it. Ultimately what is going to make you gain size and lose fat and have more energy is consistent training, and a healthy, balanced and training specific diet. Does that mean Creatine won’t help? Absolutely not. Consider Creatine as a slight advantage. Like a runner wearing a skin tight suit or specially designed shoes, while they are not the sole determinant of the athletes outcome they do play a small but important role in the athletes performance.
As a final word, (and I only discovered this recently) Creatine is obviously non anabolic ad so has had no restrictions placed on it by any sports governing bodies. In the western world that is! Apparently the use of a Creatine supplement is banned in sporting competition in some countries by national authorities? Is Creatine worth it? You betcha!
